Ainė Janušienė

Ainė's path to interior design began not at university, but in her family. Growing up in Panevėžys, in a family where her parents ran a furniture manufacturing company UAB "Merlangas", Ainė watched from childhood how furniture is born – from sketch to finished product.

"Merlangas" manufactured kitchens, wardrobes, drawers, and custom furniture for private homes and apartments. This experience gave Ainė something no school can provide: an intuitive understanding of how furniture works from the inside – not just how it looks, but how it serves people daily, how it feels to the touch, how it fits the space, and how long it will last.

In 2005, Ainė began her Bachelor's studies in Architecture at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH), graduating in 2009. From 2010 to 2012, she continued at the same university, earning a Master's degree in Architectural and Building Sciences.

In 2019, Ainė founded the "Ismanus Interjeras" studio in Vilnius. Over six years, the studio has created more than 200 unique interior projects – from compact apartments to private residences, from beauty salons to international projects in Milan and Monaco.

The studio's philosophy fits in one sentence: "We never repeat ourselves." This isn't marketing – it's daily practice. Every new interior is unique: it will never resemble or duplicate projects that have already been completed.

This principle was recognized by the international design community. In 2023, the "Beauty House Sphinx" project in Vilnius won the prestigious Emilgroup Project Awards in the "Inspiration" category – a world-class award where projects from across Europe and the world competed.

Every year, Ainė visits the largest international design exhibitions: Salone del Mobile in Milan, Maison&Objet in Paris, IMM Cologne. Exhibitions reveal trends that the market adopts 2–3 years later. Ainė applies these trends immediately, so by the time a project is completed, the client's home already is the trend – not a copy, but an original.

Today, "Ismanus Interjeras" is a team of nearly 10 professionals. Five specialists create detailed technical drawings in AutoCAD. Three visualization artists work full-time with 3ds Max and V-Ray, using five powerful rendering stations.
